
Lessons Learned generate insights that should enable NATO to adapt quickly and transform in line with conditions on the ground. Each year, the JALLC analyses what Key Issues and Trends (KIT) are developing that NATO should be aware of if it wants to adapt rapidly to win the fight tomorrow as well as tonight.
From a review of the NATO Lessons Learned Portal and other sources, the JALLC identifies Key Issues and Trends that will go on to inform decision making and capability development, ensuring that NATO remains, not only a learning organization, but one that implements what it learns as well.
From a source base of 141 issues and trends extarcted from selected Lessons Learned reports, this year's edition of the KIT Report identifies nine key areas where NATO can focus efforts to increase adaptation and transformation of the Alliance to global security needs. The report alos highlights three main areas where enhanced integration of Lessons Learned could lead to improved capability outcomes.
