On 28 January 2020, the JALLC received a visit from the Romanian Minister of National Defence, His Excellency Mr. Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă. The aim of the visit was for the Romanian Minister of National Defence to obtain a better understanding of the JALLC's mission and its role as NATO's Lead Agent for Lessons Learned.
H.E. Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă, alongside with the Romanian Ambassador in Lisbon, Her Excellency Ms Ioana Bivolaru, and Major General Viorel Pană, Chief of Romanian Air Forces Staff, had an office call meeting with the JALLC's Commander, followed by a presentation covering the JALLC's history, where it fits into the NATO structure, its mission, its joint analysis and Lessons Learned products, and the training activities. During this presentation, the JALLC's Commander, Brigadier General Bogdan Cernat, took the opportunity to emphasize the support the JALLC can provide to NATO and Partner nations as well as to NATO entities and described also of the challenges the NATO Lessons Learned Capability faces now and in the future.
After the presentation, H.E. Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă thanked the JALLC's Commander for the opportunity to gain greater awareness about the centre and what it does for the Alliance and the Allies, confirming his intention to further promote the JALLC's relevance and the important contribution it makes to the success of NATO operations and exercises.
