On 28 February 2020, the JALLC received a visit from the Romanian Chief of Defence Staff (ROU CHoD), Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu. The aim of the visit was for the ROU CHoD to obtain a better understanding of the JALLC's mission and its role as NATO's Lead Agent for Lessons Learned.
Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu, together with Her Excellency, the Romanian Ambassador to Portugal, Ms Ioana Bivolaru, and Colonel Marian Voicu, Romanian Military Attaché, had an office call with the JALLC's Commander, Brigadier General Bogdan Cernat. This office call was followed by a presentation from the Commander himself as well as representative from the JALLC's two Divisions: Captain Group Neil Cummins (Head Lessons Learned Analysis Division) and Colonel Juan Molina (Head Lessons Learned Management Division). The presentation covered theJALLC's history, where it fits into NATO's structure, its mission, and its activities.
After the presentation, Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu thanked the JALLC's Commander for the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the JALLC and what it does for the Alliance and the Allies, confirming his intention to promote the important contribution the JALLC makes to the success of NATO operations and exercises.
