Colonel Keisuke Kawae, Chief of Doctrine Development Office at the Air Staff College in Japan, visited the Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Centre in Lisbon, Portugal on 9 March 2015.

After an office call with Chief of Staff JALLC, Colonel Jorge Gomes, Col Kawae was briefed on where the JALLC fits within NATO’s military structure, and on the role, capabilities, activities and current Programme of Work of the Centre. Of particular interest to Colonel Kawae was the support JALLC could offer to NATO Nations, Partner for Peace Nations and the NATO Global Partners by the JALLC Advisory and Training Team ( JATT) in advice on how to enhance the lessons learned capability. Colonel Kawae looked forward to further cooperation between Japanese Forces and the JALLC in attending Lessons Learned ( LL) courses and the LL conference as well as a potential visit from the JATT to Japan.

The visit was concluded by signing the JALLC Book of Honour and a group picture.
