On Thursday, 13 September 2012, the NATO Communications and Information Agency ( NCIA) General Manager, Mr Koen Gijsbers visited the Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Centre ( JALLC) in Lisbon, Portugal. He was accompanied by Mr. Shalamanov, Director Sponsor Account NATO and Nations and the Chief of NCIA Sector Lisbon, Colonel Fourmond.
The visit began with the welcome by the JALLC Commander, Brigadier General Peter Sonneby. After the office call the NCIA representatives had a meeting with JALLC Commander, Chief of Staff, other JALLC Staff members and NCIA Support Element Head in Monsanto to deal with the future of the Communications and Information Systems ( CIS) services provided by the Agency after its recent establishment. The new Agency comes from the merge of NCSA and NC3A. Mr Gijsbers was provided a short tailored briefing on current JALLC activities, projects and capabilities. Later on he was explained JALLC CIS requirements and potential support capabilities to NCIA. NCIA General Manager stated that the new Agency will provide the required services with the same efficiency as of today.
Mr Gijsbers concluded his visit by signing the JALLC Book of Honour.
