In June this year, Allied Command Transformation, the NATO Strategic Command to which the JALLC belongs, will turn 20 years old. To mark the occasion in style, the JALLC has launched a page on its website that will be dedicated to celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Strategic Command.
The page, which you can find in the top right corner of the JALLC's home page, sets out the history and background of the Command, and provides some context on what Allied Command Transformation does today. We will update this page with all the latest on the birthday celebrations that will happen at Allied Command Transformation’s headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia in the USA, but also how we the JALLC are celebrating this special occasion.
In the context of this special page launch, we thought it would a good opportunity to look back to our own 20th anniversary last year, and in particular to the visit Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), General Philippe Lavigne, paid to the JALLC on the occaision. SACT not only addressed the JALLC on the importance of the its work for Allied Command Transformation and NATO, but he also dropped in on our staff members as he walked around the facilities, really getting to know the JALLC and what
drives our activities: our people.
See what SACT had to say about the JALLC and to the JALLC's staff in the video below.
