On 24 November 2025, the JALLC welcomed the office of the new Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (DSACT), General Aurelio Colagrande (Italian Air Force), on what marked his first official visit to the Centre.

The visit began with an office call with JALLC's Commander, Brigadier General Cristinel Colibaba, followed by a series of topical and relevant presentations highlighting JALLC’s outputs and capabilities, and concluded with a round-table discussion with senior leadership.20251124 - Visit of DSACT (12a).JPG

This occasion offered DSACT the chance to be briefed on JALLC’s mission, its analytical capabilities, and the ongoing work the Centre performs in support of NATO’s transformation under Allied Command Transformation.

During his engagement with JALLC leadership and staff, DSACT gained a deeper appreciation of the Centre’s role: supporting NATO’s Lessons Learned Capability, and contributing to the Alliance’s broader process of continuous adaptation, innovation, and transformation. He praised the professionalism and expertise displayed by the JALLC team, and underscored that in a rapidly evolving security environment, the ability to learn from experience, adapt accordingly, and institutionalize lessons gives NATO a decisive edge in effectiveness and readiness.

The JALLC reaffirmed its commitment to providing objective, high-quality analysis and to facilitating the NATO Lessons Learned Process, ensuring that NATO forces remain better prepared, more resilient, and fully capable of addressing both current and emerging challenges.
