On 29 May NATO announced the nomination of General Philippe Lavigne as the next Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), head of Allied Command Transformation (ACT), NATO’s Warfare Development Strategic Command. The JALLC is NATO’s lead agent for Lessons Learned and contributes to NATO’s warfare development as part of ACT, falling under the superior command of SACT.

General Lavigne, currently the Chief of Staff of the French Air and Space Force will succeed General Andrè Lanata during a change of command ceremony that will take place in September 2021 at the Headquarters of Supreme Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia.

The JALLC would like to express gratitude to General Lanata for the support over the years and wish General Philippe Lavigne all the best in his new post and we look forward to working with him and his team at ACT.
