The 9th Military Public Affairs Working Group convened from 22 to 25 April 2024 at the Hellenic Armed Forces Officers Club in Athens, Greece, marking another milestone in fostering collaboration and synergy among NATO member nations. These biannual gatherings serve as pivotal platforms for senior representatives from each NATO nation to exchange insights on various facets of military communication, including capability development, education and training, standards, policy, and doctrine.

This 9th edition of the Working Group witnessed the active participation of delegates dedicated to enhancing communication strategies within the military domain. Among the attendees was the JALLC’s Public Affairs and Protocol Officer, LTC Sonia Guerra, whose presence underscored the organization's commitment to fostering interoperability and knowledge sharing among NATO Allies. Additionally, representatives of NATO’s two strategic commands were present, both from Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and Allied Command Operations (ACO).  All participants were deeply engaged in the event and contributed invaluable perspectives, enriching discussions on the evolving landscape of military communication.20240425_112247.jpg

Transparency and constructive feedback emerged as hallmarks of the 9th Military Public Affairs Working Group, reflecting a culture of openness and collaboration that underpins NATO's collective defence efforts. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage in candid dialogues and contribute to shaping the future of military communication strategies.

The success of the 9th Military Public Affairs Working Group would not have been possible without the meticulous planning and execution by ACT and ACO, as well as the support from Hellenic National Defence General Staff. Their dedication and efforts ensured the seamless organization of this significant event, facilitating productive exchanges and fostering camaraderie among NATO member nations.
