On Monday, 23 January, the Deputy Commander of Allied Command Transformation, General Mieczyslaw Bieniek, visited the Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Centre ( JALLC) in Lisbon, Portugal.

The visit began with a welcome by the JALLC Commander, Brigadier General Peter Sonneby. After introductions, General Bieniek was briefed on JALLC's activities, current analysis projects and the Programme of Work for 2012. As one of the advocates for the creation of the JALLC, General Bieniek was very interested in seeing what JALLC has accomplished in its almost 10 years of existence. Discussions also centered on JALLC’s project to update the NATO LL Database and Portal, and NATO’s restructure. The visit concluded with the signing of the JALLC Book of Honour.
