On 28 April 2011 the JALLC was visited by Dr. Brooke Smith-Windsor, Deputy Director of the Research Division of the NATO Defense College.

The visit was very fruitful, in that areas of work where identified within our organizations that have potential for collaboration in the future. There are at least 3 topics in the NDC Research Division’s 2011 program that overlap with JALLC projects: NATO and the African Union, Comprehensive Approach and Maritime Security. It was agreed to look further at exactly how the JALLC and NDC could assist each other in these areas. In addition the JALLC will work with the NDC on other areas of cooperation.
